Linux Proxy Guide (Clash Verge)
Linux users can use Clash Verge, which provides a user-friendly graphical interface for managing Clash configurations.
Prerequisites
Clash Verge on Linux is available as an AppImage, Deb, or RPM package. Choose the one that matches your distribution.
Step 1: Install Clash Verge
- Download the latest
.AppImage(for all distros) or.deb(for Ubuntu/Debian) from the official GitHub releases. - If using the AppImage:
- Right-click the file -> Properties -> Permissions -> Allow executing file as program.
- Double-click to launch.
- Open the app.
Step 2: Import Profile
- Copy your Clash subscription link.
- In Clash Verge, select Profiles.
- Paste the URL into the Subscribe box and click Import.
- Once the profile appears, click it to activate it.
Step 3: Choose Proxy
- Select Proxies in the left sidebar.
- Choose a server that has the best latency for your network.
- Use the Rule mode for automatic routing.
Step 4: Enable System Proxy
- Go to Settings.
- Toggle on System Proxy.
- For some desktop environments (e.g., KDE or GNOME), you may need to manually confirm that the proxy is enabled in your system settings.
Pro Tip
Use the TUN Mode in Settings if you want to proxy all applications, including those that do not support system proxy settings (like games).
