This guide will help you set up v2rayN, the most popular V2ray client for Windows, to ensure a secure and fast connection.

Recommendation

We recommend using v2rayN-Core for the best compatibility with modern protocols like Trojan, Shadowsocks, and VLESS.

Step 1: Download and Extract

  1. Download the latest version of v2rayN from the official repository.
  2. Extract the ZIP file to a folder on your computer (e.g., C:\v2rayN).
  3. Run v2rayN.exe. If prompted by Windows Defender, click "More Info" and "Run anyway".

Step 2: Add Subscription

  1. Copy your subscription link provided by your service provider.
  2. In v2rayN, click on Subscription Groups -> Subscription Group Settings.
  3. Click Add, enter a name (e.g., "Main"), and paste your URL in the url field.
  4. Click Confirm.

Step 3: Update Servers

  1. Go back to the main interface.
  2. Click on Subscription Groups -> Update subscription (without proxy).
  3. Your server list will now be populated.

Step 4: Enable Proxy

  1. Select a server from the list and press Enter or right-click and select Set as active server.
  2. To enable system-wide proxy, find the v2rayN icon in the system tray (bottom right).
  3. Right-click the icon and set System Proxy to Set System Proxy.
  4. Set Routing to Global or Bypass Mainland China depending on your needs.
Note

Always remember to set "System Proxy" back to "Clear System Proxy" before closing the app to avoid internet connectivity issues.
